This week, we celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Breastfeeding Week.

This observance was created by the Asian Pacific Islander (API) Breastfeeding Task Force of Los Angeles County when they noticed barriers to lactation in their community. Some of the ways the API Task Force aims to promote and support breast/chestfeeding in the Asian community by ensuring that there are language-appropriate materials and culturally-sensitive breast/chestfeeding services.

Esta semana, celebramos la Semana de la lactancia materna de los asiáticos americanos, los nativos de Hawái y las islas del Pacífico (AANHPI).
